FREE Falls Prevention Classes Starting Soon in Faribault Sign-up Deadline September 7th

Rice County Public Health, Three Rivers Community Action and Milestone Senior Living are teaming up to offer “A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls” in Faribault for interested community members. These evidence based programs help those with concerns about falling improve their quality of life and remain independent.

Together with other attendees, class participants will learn ways to decrease their fear of falling, increase their activity level, and take action to help reduce the risk of falls.

Participants meet for 2 hours, twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, for four weeks. Classes begin Monday, September 11h, and will be held through October 4th.  The classes will be held in Faribault at Milestone Senior Living, 2500 14th Street N.E., and will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

These classes are FREE and open to the public, but pre-registration is required by Thursday, September 7th.  Please call Rice County Public Health at (507) 332-6111 or WellConnect at (507) 251-3835 to register. You may also register online at WellConnectSEMN.org.
