Rice County Public Health sponsoring Workplace Wellness Collaborative

Rice County Public Health is pleased to announce a workplace wellness collaborative to help employers develop or improve upon an existing workplace wellness initiative.

Beginning November 21st through fall 2019, employers will learn how to effectively engage employees in their own health through a “culture of health” that supports healthy behaviors. This project is funded by the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP).

Investing in the health of employees by creating a workplace wellness initiative is an important step an employer can take to increase productivity, improve morale and better manage health care costs.  Interestingly, best practice recommendations take little to no financial resources on the part of the organization – just staff time to plan and implement.

Participating employers will receive free, ongoing consultation along with tools and templates to ensure success.

Any size employer is welcome. Whether your organization has a wellness initiative in place or is new to this type of work, we invite you to learn more and participate. Our recruitment deadline is November 19, 2018.  Please contact Rice County Public Health SHIP Coordinator, Josh Ramaker at 507-332-5911 or jramaker@co.rice.mn.us  to learn more!

We look forward to working with employee groups to help improve the health of workers in Rice County!
